Ragi Foxtail Millet Dosa

Ingredients:


  1. Ragi - 1/2 cup
  2. Foxtail Millet -1/2 cup
  3. Red Rice - 1/2 cup
  4. Urad dal - 1/2 cup
  5. Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  7. Green Chili - 1
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil - 1/2 tbsp


Procedure:


  1. Take ragi, foxtail millet, red rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a bowl. Clean them and rinse them at least 3-4 times.
  2. Soak them for at least 6 hours.
  3. Then grind them into a fine paste. Add cumin seeds and and green chili while grinding
  4. Pour the mixure into a steel container. Cover it and keep it in a warm place for fermentation for at least 12 to 14 hours.
  5. After 12 to 14 hours your batter is ready for making the dosas. Add salt and 1/2 tbsp oil to it and mix everything well.
  6. Grease cast iron pan and heat it well. Then add and spread the batter evenly. Cook it by covering with a lid and your crispy dosa will be ready in a few mins.
